I wish...

I wish I could be more politically aware!!!! Some may say that you can just go research that stuff, but it's harder than that (at least for me). Even if I look at the current events today they are all connected to news that has already occurred which I don't understand. Thus, I would have to goooo wayyyyy back. I wish I could understand what is going on. I mean I'm really really unaware of what is going on, seriously.

If anyone is willing to break down politics 101 for me so that I can pass my AP US Gov't class I would be much obliged. I mean like current events. Democrats, Republicans, Ron Paul, Scott Brown, Obamacare, etc. (Just throwing around some words I know)
I have been told I look like a Hamster sometimes (not literally though I think I have sort of fat cheeks...)

VS.

(I added a sucky background I know. I have shaky hands!!!! That's why I can't take good photos either. So Me+Paint= That!)

And Just because it's cute.

Also to those who have lost a loved one today 10 years ago. I am sorry for your loss, even though I was quite young when the tragedy occurred, I know what a significant event that 9/11 was for this country. Actually my mom had worked there in the twin towers, but had changed jobs before 9/11 had occurred. Luckily that happened. Moment of silence...

Make today a day for doing a good deed not just a day of remembrance. Pay it Forward (like the movie) and do a good deed for 3 people and tell them to do the same so that we can impact the world. It may just be Hi to someone you never talked to before or creating a charity to help others, but every good thought and intention goes a long way esp. in Karma pts!!!!!

Need to get this off my mind

You know how I mentioned getting a cat. Well we have never had a real pet that did something (we had fish... yup they do nothing), so we thought we could take care of our cat. But even though it has only been 5 days we already feel the strain and the changes that having a cat has imposed on our home. I think we may return him back to the shelter (even though they are closing). The lady was very nice and she offered this option and that we should tell her ASAP so that she can find him a home.

I feel so bad about this, but I feel like it should be settled before he becomes attached to our home. He's adorable, but we just aren't a pet kind of family. Plus soon I'm off to college and I don't think my younger siblings (who are allergic to cats) can handle taking care of him. Plus he deserves better. After hearing his story it's heart wrenching to do this to him, but sometimes the best choice isn't the nicest one I guess. Before he gets too attached to us we should find him a proper loving home.

The more and more I think about it I can't imagine a fantastic future for him. We are all so busy and we are always used to doing our own things. Plus we don't let him sleep in our bedrooms (though I let him come into mine) because we all close our doors.
Actually a lot our doors are closed because of him which is irritating my grandparents due to air circulation and my mom is convinced he caused the strange smell in our house. Still don't know the answer to that one. Could be from the plant that he knocked down. I think it's best for him to find a new family. I feel so sad, but also a bit relieved. I guess I'm not cut out to be a pet person at least I know that in the future now.

Sigh.

Watch this video it's awesome!!!! They should put this on YouTube. Now I am scrambling to finish my summer assignment so I can start my College Apps essays and supplements. Aarg.

Whomever may be reading this

You that person who may have stumbled upon this pitiful blog. Thank you for reading. Oh I wish you would comment though. That would be nice. No pressure or anything.

Just saying...

It would be a nice gesture.

Sidenote: I hate how Google keeps demanding for my mobile phone number. Creeps me out. Same for Youtube. Gosh...NO THANKS. Right? Don't you want them to stop asking you too?

PASSED IT!

BOO YAH! I forgot to mention that I passed my road test with flying colors. I have been freaking out about it, but it was unbelievably easy. Haven't gotten my real licence yet, but I have a temporary one right now. But it just looks like a receipt.

Still can't really drive. My dad says I can't drive by myself. I haven't learned how to switch lanes by myself. Plus I have horrible direction sense.

My house still smells gross, but it could most likely be rotten food in our fridge. My mom pretty much threw out everything. Yup, that's what 5 days without electricity does to you. I still hope it was the food and not my cat.

Ah, the cat litter smells nice. My sister actually brought her friend to our house to see the cat and then brought her to his litter box and told her to smell it because it smells nice. Au natural!

Natural Disasters (Earthquake, Hurricane, Cat?)

Didn't blog about it, but I felt an earthquake on the East Coast (Woah). I thought I had been going crazy for a second when my chair started moving by itself and I saw the TV rock/sway. Then it was over. Just a minute. I thought I had been hallucinating or something from staring at the PC for too long (you nerds know what I mean right? It's okay I'm a nerd too or so my friends call me-though I really don't agree).

Then after that Hurricane Irene strikes, but it got downgraded to a  tropical storm by the time it hit my state. We lost power for 5 days. I went to sleep at 8:30 for like 4 days! It was torture. I have to study for the ACT's (next sat.! ), but I was sooo bored I only studied a bit. You know that feeling that you should be doing something, but you just can't. I don't know just label me lazy. We had to use flashlights and candles.

Then we finally convinced my parents to get a cat. Such a cutie. But he cries at night because we are all sleeping and we all close our doors. Don't know what to do. Need to sleep, but I feel bad for him. He won't stop chewing our plants and that is really irritating my parents.

Now after our electricity finally came back yesterday there has been a funky smell in our house and my parents are blaming the cat. I think they want to un adopt him or something. Which is mean. I don't know what the smell is, but it is disgusting. It could be rotting food, but we threw it away. The cat could have gone somewhere in the house, but he knows to go in the litter box and we clean it out. Plus the litter is natural so it smells nice. Don't know where the smell is coming from!! Help!!!!!!! ANY ADVICE?

Just watched a movie on TV called I Hate Valentine's Day. It was pretty good so go watch it!
Oh yeah, My cat is an orange Tabby who looks like Puss in the Boots. Seriously.

Got my schedule for school (starting on Tues.). Yes I dropped out of AP Spanish and my schedule is actually pretty good and spread out evenly. Nice. Got to start College Apps or my mom will kill me. AARG.

Going to eat diner food now.
