Royal Wedding

Hmm... Sure the Royal Wedding is a humongous event, but people are being a bit over the top about it. With the fridges with their faces on it and the clothes and other strange items. I haven't seen the wedding on TV, but I did see a picture of them together. Sadly disappointed, all the hype about her super secret dress, and what a let down. I mean it was nice, but not princess  like. I saw Princess Diana's dress and it was princessy and puffy.

WOULD YOU RATHER?
Be invited to the Royal Wedding OR win a million dollars tax free?

TIRED!

I was just at school from 7 to 9:30pm for AP review. Had to sit on the radiator because there were no seats. It felt really awkward when it suddenly turned on and it was blowing cold air from underneath me. It's very foggy today. Crunch time, AP's starting next week and May SAT! *Pulling out hair* Oh, why did I waste April break not studying? Still not done with the curriculum for some classes. 3 days left to restudy the WHOLE year. Wow.

WOULD YOU RATHER?
Sleep outside on the grass OR Be stuck in a filthy jar for 2 hours?

I love Boston Cremes! Yum.

Gotta stop eating so much Hi Chew

Man, I'm eating way too much Hi Chew (a Japanese candy). It's really yummy. Though I've eaten like 3 sticks of it, which is like 25 pieces, give or take some. I think I will definitely get cavities now. I'm eating the strawberry one which taste and smell like strawberry fruit roll up. Yum! It's very windy now and both of my windows are open and my papers are blowing everywhere. It's probably going to rain later, if not, then tomorrow.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Just watched it. Since I went in with some pretty low expectations, It turned out to be really good. Man, I should have watched this in theaters instead of The Last Airbender (which totally ruined the cartoon-which I love(ed)). I mean the only good thing about that movie was the bending. Everything else kind of sucked. Couldn't they have used like Asian people? Hullo? Plus they couldn't pronounce their names. Seriously? Watch the cartoon for references!

Anyhoo, My favorite scences in the Sorcerer's Apprentice was the part when Dave and Becky were in the cage and the telma things were shooting electricity and making sounds (esp. the song Secrets by One Republic). It actually sounds cooler in the movie than the actual music video, but it's still good. Go cello and violin! Check out both of these videos!

Oh, yeah. Today is nice weather for once. So I'm going outside to play some badminton, hopefully not too sunny because I tan very easily which I don't like.

WOULD YOU RATHER?
Tan easily OR Not tan easily?

OMG, In the trailer (and I don't think this part was in the movie, but I was just watching it and it was super funny) right in the beginning, Dave was like "I'm afraid of flying on planes!" and Balthazar replied, "Well, today's your lucky day, I brought an eagle." Uh, It's not as funny when I do it, but seriously watch the trailer, it's funny.

Movie Trailers

Movie trailers are so misleading. They take the most interesting parts, funniest parts, scariest parts, whatever and put it in the trailer. It makes you think the movie is good. So you go pay like 12 dollars for a ticket, more if you decide to actually cough up 20 dollars for snacks that aren't good for you, not to mention way overpriced.

But luckily I (except once in a while) don't fall for the trap. Nope. I wait for the DVD, and say to myself "Good thing I didn't see this in theaters." Yes this is sad, but whatever. Plus at movie theaters you can't pause or lower the sound. So if you go to the bathroom (again person with small bladder) you will miss something.

Especially if you have high expectations for a movie, you are almost always sadly disappointed. When Avatar came out (the one with the blue people) everyone was saying it was the BEST movie ever. So I finally got it on DVD and with those high expectations and I was totally bored (fine exaggeration, but I was waiting for something spectacular to happen, but it was a bit cliche). It wasn't horrible, but totally not worth the hype.

But if you have low expectations, sometimes you are pleasantly surprised. I thought "Oh, Tangled is going to be cheesy and overdone, but it turned out to be awesome, even though I missed out on the beginning because we were late to the theater. So I felt really stupid (along with my friends) when we were like Oh, She's the Princess (but according to my other friend who had already seen it without us, in the beginning they told us she was the Princess) we're so smart we figured it out. FAIL. But whatever. Plus there were only like 5 other people there and they were like little kids with their moms. We were the only ones laughing though, and I think a mom death glared at us. It was so cute when the little girl was very sad when the main guy (forgot his name) was dying and she was exasperated. But if you haven't seen it, go get it on DVD.

Below is a link to a funny THE BIG BANG THEORY clip. I couldn't find the video itself on the video thingy.

Why?

Why does American pop music have
1. No interesting themes besides partying or love?
2. Overly repeat words and phrases
3. Brainwash the youth of America?
Why does rap music have so much cursing?
I'm mostly concerned because my younger sister loves listening to Z100 and she listens to things that have profanities and songs by Ke$ha that have bad themes like drinking and partying, etc.
Super disappointed. That's why I like listening to songs in other languages because the lyrics are more poetic and well crafted with meaning and there are different themes besides partying and love. Plus no profanities! I hate when people curse in songs, it may have nice music and a good beat, but as soon as the words come out *cringe*

NOOO. Sad day in Amazing Race History.

No, the Cowboys lost. They were sooo close, but the Globetrotters beat them to the Double U TURN. I'm super duper sad. The Cowboys were my favorite team of all time. I've seen like 6 seasons and so far they have been the best. Moral wise, ability, and awesomeness. Plus a real cowboy's hat never comes off. Well, now I'm hoping Gary and Mallory win now.

Ahh. The smell of spring... kind of sucks

Today is not raining for once. Though I'm sure it will tomorrow. It is sunny and warm. I love spring and fall, but only on a nice cool, breezy, slightly sunny day. When the grass is green and there are these fat, white, puffy clouds lazily floating in the bright blue sky. I hate the warm, pollen, musty, cow manure (fertilizer) smell like today. I also really hate bees because the buzzing sound freaks me out. But anyhoo, today is another episode of the amazing race! Off to Austria! Cowboys ftw. Oh, the picture underneath is from Google. Just an example of what a nice spring day should look like. Look at that sky, gorgeous.

WOULD YOU RATHER?
Be stung by a bee and be allergic to it OR step into a pile of cow manure?

Oh, Yeah. Happy Earth DAY!

I love how Google makes these cute pics that remind us (the people who rarely look at the corner of their calendars) for days like today or just random awesome occurrences. One of my favorite ones so far was the one when they were celebrating the ___ anniversary (dunno the number) of Pacman. It turned out you could actually play pacman on it. Super duper coolness. For the earth day one if you move your cursor over the animals and waterfall, etc they move! Ooh, technology. On that subject, my sister is a total twitter nut. She was skeptical at first, but now it like totally takes over her life. The first thing she does as soon as she gets home is check twitter, seriously. She logs on the PC or grabs the ipad or some technological device. And then other times she proceeds to sing (into a mike that she bought and I went with her and my BFF to buy it with her at Best Buy which she spent FOREVER choosing) all the time or chat with her buddies from around the world. AARG! I can't stand the constant singing/karaoke. She doesn't go to sleep until 4 AM like almost everyday (well i wouldn't know because like a good girl I go to sleep before that, lately though I have been sleeping a bit late like 12 or 1 AM) And guess who has to drag her out of bed almost every morning. MOI! Not to mention she's super slow in the morning. Because it's uber cold in our house. Colder than outside. Yup, a winter wonderland. Well, I guess I shouldn't rant too much about her. *crosses fingers she never stumbles upon this blog, but being such a twitter manic I doubt she trolls blogs* Anyhoo, I was just watching Bob the Butler on Youtube, when I really should be doing my SAT hw. Ahh, more memories. What a good movie. I love how when he (Bob) slaps the pig gas or hot air is bursting out of it and then it lights on fire and BOOM! Pig EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!

You know what nachos kind of suck. No offense to nacho lovers, but I have yet to stumble upon good tasting nachos. My brother constantly orders them (like today), but they turn out sucking and no one wants to eat it so he wastes so much food, but consumes incredible amounts of junk food.

On a happy note, umm... HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!!!! WHOOO!  That *points to picture above* is Aiba Masaki from ARASHI. What a happy smile, I hope y'all (trying to convey a southern accent on the internet-sorry no offense to people who do say y'all) smile like that today.

It's a Wong Fu Weeeekends!!!!!

Ah. Wong Fu Productions, esp. Wong Fu Weekends are super duper funny and adorable. Ted and his toys and cats, Phil and his hugging of balls, Wes and ... his plain awesomeness! Goshies. I wish they had been at the college that I had visited today. Williams College in MA, but it is actually way closer to Albany than Boston. And basically in the middle of NOWHERE. We drove through the mountains and on the highways for hours. There is literally a Mickey D's at every rest stop which we stopped A LOT. Family of weak bladders. And then ironically we'd buy more liquids and be on our jolly (or by the time we got there not so jolly, more grumpy with bum pains than anything else) way. It's quaint, but not for me. Wayyyy to rural. Literally surrounded by mountains. Pretty much from every spot on campus you can spot a mountain. Yup, plus not too many decent restaurants. Gas sure is high these days. Over 4 bucks and rising!
Today's would you rather question is:

WOULD YOU RATHER?
Be tied to a tree for 48 hrs. with no one around OR stuck in a car for 1 day with the people you hate more than anything else with an obnoxiously bad driver?

Checking out Colleges

Went to Yale and Columbia today. I wasn't even thinking of going to Yale, but after the Info. session and campus tour, it just seemed so nice. Now I'm thinking about it. Also went to Columbia, but missed the info session, but jumped onto a random tour that was halfway done. Hmm... It smelled there. Because of either the garbage cans or the fertilizer. I think the latter of the two. I want to see UPenn now and Northwestern, maybe Boston college and Boston university and NYU. Hmm... I wonder what's a good major for me... La di da di dum.

WOULD YOU RATHER?
Tip a cow (and kill it-aww don't do that) OR ride a bull (an angry one)?

Side note: My mom just bought me some dumbbells. YAY! It's just 8 lbs. Yeah, I'm weak.

Today's a lazy day

Man, today is definitely a lazy day (thank goddess for spell check or I'd be misspelling things left and right >.<) No matter how hard I try to do work today, I either end up wasting my time watching interesting videos on Youtube or just plain lazing around. Don't you hate it when you nap too long and your head starts hurting? Glarg. I'm very much behind on work: even though I planned on getting a lot accomplished during April Break (ULTIMATE FAIL). Hmm. Blogging seems kind of fun. You can rant all you want and no one really cares... I guess.  Anyways, back to work, or until I get distracted again. "Over yonder a Monkey"-Country Bears. *cue me running away*
WOULD YOU RATHER
Have everything be black and white OR Lose your sense of smell (thus affecting your sense of taste)?

One of my Favorite quotes

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
 Marilyn Monroe

This quote is so amazing within itself. I love a good quote. One of my favorite sites to troll around on when looking for inspiration or essays is thinkexist.com

Don't you just LOVE!!

Don't you just love when you learn something new it pops up EVERYWHERE! Like a ninja! WAPA! Knowledge opens so many new doors especially in the media. Like today I was watching the AMAZING RACE season 18 (Sundays at 8-Cowboys ftw) and they mentioned Freud and since I take AP Psych I knew who he was was. A total AHA moment! Or when you learn a new word, you see it everywhere! Doesn't it make you wonder about all the words that pass you by because you never noticed them? Hmm... On another note, My circadian rhythm is totally messed up. I have been sleeping late (addicted to the internet) the past few weeks  (at 12 am to 1 am, when I used to go to bed at 11 pm, 11:30 pm latest). Going to sleep now (uh, after I watch some funny Wong Fu Productions videos, hehe) >.<

Oh, the Good 'ol days!

Ah, I get made fun of (by my friends, but still) of how I love childish things. Sure there are the people who are die hard Pokemon fans, but that is a bit different. What's wrong with things like Power rangers (sure at times they are a bit lame, corny, and the fight sequences are kind of sad, not to mention boring, with little plot besides fighting said villains), it doesn't stop me from still happily enjoying it. Sure no one likes the Country Bears movie, but I do. It tickles my heart, sort of, though I haven't seen it is a while. And what about the Disney movies/shows? They used to be pretty good, now their lame and boring, and totally predictable. And after high school musical everything is music centered. I can't stand random bursts of song and dance. What is with that? I mean that's what I thought Glee would be like, but when I actually watched an episode it was pretty addicting and so not like high school musical (though they do burst out in song and dance sometimes randomly), but most of the time it's for legit reasons.

1st entry-hmm.

Well, this might just be the most boring 1st (or any) entry in all of blog history, but I really just wanted to post for the heck of it! WHOO! I did. My life is now complete. Just surfing the net trying to put together some sort of list of colleges to tell my parents to show them that I am heading in some sort of direction. Aarg!
But to cheer me up and anyone else having an oh so gloomy day. Please enjoy the following picture of my favorite idol group-ARASHI. For anyone out their saying HUH? Check them out, they are super hilarious and an awesome ball of wonderful. Great for sad days, happy days, and all sorts of days.
